The activities of state archival institutions do not consist only in the storing of documents and making them available to users. To make the documentary material fully utilizable, it is necessary in fact not only to curate the conservation of the material, but to study, reorder and inventory it in a way suitable for then diffusing knowledge of the material for a public as large as possible.
Over time the Imola archival section has produced publications, exhibits and events such as conferences, presentations of books and audiovisuals. These activities are often carried out in collaboration with other civic cultural institutions.
